On Nov. 21, Seaside Neighborhood School and Seacoast Collegiate High School hosted their 24th Annual Thanksgiving Feast for students, families and faculty.

The tradition began in the Robert and Daryl Davis garden space, where students planted and grew vegetables, and this year the celebration expanded to the picturesque Lyceum Green.

Parents, students and teachers spent the days leading up to the feast cooking their specialties, putting up decorations, and setting the scene for a beautiful fall luncheon. This year, the feast kicked off with the Seaside Neighborhood School student bands playing a variety of tunes showcasing their musical talents.

Along with feasting on pot luck dishes, student leaders constructed “Can-struction” masterpieces with a Thanksgiving theme. Prior to the feast celebration, students created designs using canned and non-perishable foods, which were donated to Caring & Sharing.

Courtney Davis joined the Seaside staff in 2016 and currently teaches 6th grade language arts and 6th Grade world cultures. She and her husband, Cory, live in South Walton with their twins, Cooper and Chloe, who are currently in the 5th grade at SNS.
