Seaside Store Owner Laurie Olshefski

One of Seaside’s own has won a prestigious national leadership award. Laurie Olshefski, owner of The Fitness Fetish Family Sport & Beach Shop and Shimmering Seas Jewelry & Gift Shop in Seaside with her husband John, was selected by a national panel of judges as the winner of the 2012 Glenn Shepard Excellence in Leadership Award.

Albert F’s was mentioned in American Airline Premium Traveler magazine, sighted for carrying the photography work of Janet Thomas.

Great Southern Café’s Grits a Ya Ya earn Florida Travel + Life magazine’s 2012 designation of Best Southern Dish in Florida.

Déjà vu

Déjà vu owner and designer Stephanie Carter was recently featured in Southern Living magazine for her locally run clothing line, Judith March.

The April 2013 issue of the magazine features Secrets to the South’s New Riviera. It highlights the “most posh-pools, on-trend designers, and tasty eats” along the Gulf Coast of Florida and Alabama.

“I was so humbled when they asked me to be a part of such a fun and exciting feature,” she says. “It was a joy to work with the Southern Living team and my fellow Florida fashion designers, Nicole Rockhill and Caroline Smith, they were both so sweet.”
