SEASIDE® launches new website, adding features users want most By Kerri Parker
Firstly, you may not know that Seasidefl.com launched a new website and we have been working on phases to integrate key tools for you, the loyal Seasider. We want the site to be a place where you can find what you are looking for regarding all things Seaside.
If you are tuned in, you already know that most folks are checking their email, sharing information, visiting websites, flocking to social media, all from their mobile devices. With nearly 55 percent of the traffic coming to our website from mobile devices, we needed to upgrade to responsive technology. Meaning, we needed to get with the times! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to recognize how important it is to stay on top of technology.
You probably know when you view a site on your phone your navigation is a little different than your view on the monitor of your desktop. Keep in mind, there is a search tool to make your experience a lot less arduous when looking for your favorite merchant or identifying a Seaside event. Use the search bar and you will get the results that are relevant to what you are looking for.
You will notice the news section is where we recently began to host all the news stories you can read from The Seaside Times. Please note that sharing the news stories is highly appreciated, as we love to share the work of our dedicated writers and the stories they tell about our beloved town.
Another tip about the improved website is our real estate page. Our on-site brokerage, Seaside Community Realty, has the exclusive listing right regarding homes for sale in Seaside hosted on Seasidefl.com. You can easily navigate to the real estate page from the search tool. While the same homes are also syndicated on national websites specific to real estate, the Seaside Community Realty folks (Jacky Barker, broker and Donna Spiers, associate broker), have put more than 30 years of sweat equity into our town, deserving the exclusive right to list homes for sale on the Seasidefl.com website. No other brokers are allowed. We think that is a smart way to keep it real ’round town.
We also know there are many vacation rental companies vying to get your attention to rent a home in Seaside. But we only chose three to present to you through our website. We hope this helps you understand the value in these three companies that earned this exclusivity. They hold high standards, high enough that we help promote them on our website. You can find them at Seasidefl.com/visit.
We love how you make our town shine through Facebook and Instagram posts as you share your Seaside experiences. If you are posting about Seaside on social channels, note we fancy hashtags too. #SeasideFlorida #SeasideFL are our most popular hashtags. If you are going to hashtag, consider using ours and we will consider sharing your posts. It’s fun and it’s relevant for search-ability.
So what’s next? For starters, we just embarked on a new video series to highlight all our merchants on their respective pages. It is going to take some time, but that is what you do. You keep plugging along and sharing away, because we have so much to share as a town; and with all the people who love Seaside.
