Beach Ready Spa, recently renovated and now under new management, offers an extensive variety of treatments to get you beach ready. The menu includes massage therapy, body treatments and beauty treatments.
Manager Mel Corey, previously a nurse by trade, moved to the area in November 2018. “The architecture, the town, even the drive into town is breathtaking,” she says. “It captivated me and now I’m here for good.”
Beach Ready Spa’s certified massage therapists provide therapeutic massage to ensure your body gets the treatment it deserves. Try the deep tissue, couples, hot stone or foot massage. Beauty services include manicures, pedicures, facials, body treatments, waxing and eyelash extensions. The spa carries a fully stocked line of DND nail polishes and shellacs.
Beach Ready sells a wide range of skincare products, including Shine On Living, a locally owned line of all-natural skin care. The spa also has a small boutique featuring women’s clothing, jewelry, hats and beachwear. “Our disposable flip-flops are biodegradable, as well as our toe separators,” Corey adds. “We like to do our part in keeping our oceans free from plastic.”

In the coming months, the spa will add bamboo massage to its menu. Bamboo massage is one of the newer techniques practiced worldwide. Similar to hot stone massage, the technique involves warm bamboo sticks being used by the therapist instead of their hands. This allows the therapist to apply more pressure, and with less stress on their own hands and wrists.
Corey had previously planned to move to Lynn Haven, a nearby town that was hit hard by Hurricane Michael in October of 2018, and changed plans when she saw the opportunity to live near Seaside. “Since my house was destroyed in Lynn Haven, God led me here,” she says. “The people welcomed me and the beauty of Seaside captured me, for sure.”
