Huck & Harlowe Dog Outfitter offers everything your pup needs
Seaside prides itself with offering the perfect shops for everyone, whether you’re looking for the best bikini at Ophelia Swimwear or a beach-ready sundress at Cabana by The Seaside Style. Now, there’s even an option for everyone’s favorite four-legged friends thanks to Huck & Harlowe Dog Outfitter, which offers everything your pet needs. Venture back to Ruskin Place and your dog can go on a luxurious shopping trip just like the rest of the family.
The family-run luxury dog goods business was founded by Mason and Katie Blackwell, first opening in nearby Rosemary Beach. The shop has since expanded its reach, with locations in Grand Boulevard and now, Seaside. The shop has amassed 7,000 Instagram followers, who keep up with local pups activities, whether they’re posing in front of Wild Bill’s Beach Dogs in a bandana or accompanying their owner on a much needed spring break beach walk.

The owners first met while vacationing next door to each other on 30A in 2020 as college students on spring break. After two years, they moved to Florida, got married in June 2022, and in September 2022, opened every dog’s dream store here in Seaside as their wildly popular second location.
The store isn’t like others. In fact, you might not be able to sniff out that you’re in a dog store at all, thanks to a custom fragrance that’s distributed through the air conditioning to mask any pup smells. The store sells goods from all over the world, as well as U.S.-made creations. Choose from chic, customizable seasonal bandanas, trendy leashes, T-shirts for owners to match their pets, and outerwear for the cooler months. There are also treats aplenty, from biscuits to calming bites made with ginger and valerian root.

The Huck in the doggie boutique title is their medium chocolate phantom teddy bear Twoodle, which is a mix of an English Goldendoodle and a Schnoodle. Huck has become an ambassador for the store, whose birthday is celebrated every year with a dog-themed bash complete with animal-friendly popsicles and cake.
Fun fact – they got Huck at Smeraglia’s TeddyBear Goldendoodles in Baldwin County Alabama, which is also where town founder Robert and Daryl Davis’ mini Goldendoodle Gracie is from.
Seaside is famously dog friendly, whether it’s folks taking their pups for walks in town or paying homage to Bud, Robert and Daryl’s dachshund who adorns merchandise in town. Now, Huck, & Harlowe fits right in, offering furry friends their own stylish merch.
