As we transition into the Fall break season in SEA

As we transition into the Fall break season in SEASIDE®, we want to remind everyone of what makes our community such a unique place – our commitment to family values and the welcoming atmosphere we extend to all who visit. With Fall Break upon us, we recognize that many families choose Seaside as their vacation destination, and we are immensely grateful for that choice.

We wish to reiterate our stance on unaccompanied minors. Seaside is intended to be a place where families come together to create cherished memories, and we need to maintain an environment that reflects this intention.

In preparation for the upcoming season, SEASIDE® hosted several collaborative town hall sessions with neighboring communities, including Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, WaterColor, and Old Seagrove. These sessions also involved SEASIDE® Town Council, which serves the residential area, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, and representatives from short-term rental companies. The collective goal was to discuss and implement measures that ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests and locals.

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, SEASIDE® has implemented a 7:00 PM CST curfew for unaccompanied minors, 18 and under, without parental supervision, during Fall Break. The dates of Fall Break curfew are September 23 - October 19.

We kindly request that parents and guardians accompany their children during their visit to Seaside. While we understand the allure of independence, our town is best experienced when families are together, exploring our beautiful beaches, enjoying our locally owned shops and restaurants, and savoring the moments that make family vacations memorable.

As we look ahead to Spring Break, please note that we will also announce specific curfew times and dates to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in maintaining the values that make Seaside a cherished tradition for families near and far. We are excited to continue to foster an environment where every visitor feels welcomed, valued, and safe.

We are aware of a series of incidents that occurre

We are aware of a series of incidents that occurred last night in Central Square and downtown Seaside. A video circulating on social media shows one of the incidents, in which a firework was set off amongst a large gathering of teenagers.

After a discussion with the @wcsofl, we have agreed that the best strategy to prevent any further disturbances and ensure the safety of our guests and staff is to enact a 6 PM curfew beginning tonight through Saturday, July 6th. This curfew will be for all unaccompanied minors not accompanied by a parent.

Our number one goal, shared by our law enforcement partners at the WCSO, is to ensure the safety of all who step foot on our property. We want to make sure that we can all safely celebrate the 4th of July holiday, one of the biggest weeks of the year for our community.

As we did during Spring Break this year, we are pleading with parents to be accountable for their teenage children. We do not view these crowds as anything other than groups of children and young adults who could be potentially put in harm’s way because of careless and reckless behavior by a few individuals. In order for us to successfully implement this curfew and break up this mob mentality, we are asking parents to locate and gather their children by 6 PM.

This is a last resort and not a decision we make lightly. We greatly appreciate everyone’s cooperation, including our Merchants, staff, guests, and the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. #ComeGetYourKids

Join our friends at @the87central every Tuesday and Thursday evening for Chef Joyce’s famous paella. ⁠She learned her recipe while in Spain, which she has continued to tweak over the years to bring some panhandle flair. Her use of chorizo instead of plain sausage adds a little extra spice kick, so this dish is not for the faint of heart! Orders are taken starting at 5:30 PM and paella is ready around 7:00 PM.
