For more than a decade, Olga and Burak Akkan built their business one loyal customer at a time, sharing healthy, flavorful recipes and warm hospitality each Saturday morning. Encouraged by their community, they eventually moved to our Airstream Row, where their thriving business continues, rooted in the same passion and connection that began at the market.

A sweet tradition, right where it’s always been.🍦

In 1983, Bill and Heavenly Dawson bought a home in SEASIDE® and soon after opened Dawson’s Yogurt, one of the town’s very first businesses. Since 1988, Dawson’s Yogurt & Fudge has been serving sweet treats from the very same spot, making it the country’s longest-operating yogurt shop still in its original location.

Over the years, it’s become part of our ritual, an after-dinner stop, a post-beach treat, a cone in hand while strolling through town. Though the shop debuted a refreshed façade and updated interior last year, the tradition remains the same: satisfying SEASIDE®’s sweet tooth, one swirl at a time.

After 32 years, the Dawsons passed the torch of the five eateries they founded to the Beechers and the Fields, but their legacy still lives on in every visit. ❤️ #SeasideFL

Since 1989, Modica Market has been part of the everyday rhythm of SEASIDE®. Opened by Charles Modica Sr. in the town’s early days, it quickly became more than just a neighborhood market, it became a gathering place.

This quaint gourmet grocery grew into a SEASIDE® staple, known for fresh, homemade Southern specialties, carefully selected wines, craft beers, and shelves lined with thoughtful finds. Whether you’re picking up breakfast before a bike ride, lunch for the beach, or a bottle of wine for dinner on the porch, Modica has always been part of the plan.

Today, the legacy continues with Charles Modica Jr. and Carmel Modica, who carry on their father’s commitment to quality, hospitality, and genuine relationships. For generations of families, Modica Market has been a familiar face, a friendly hello, and a reminder that community is built one conversation at a time. 💙 #SeasideFL
