Robert Davis is the founder of Seaside, Florida, the community that Time magazine called “the most astonishing design achievement of its era.” Recognized as the birthplace of New Urbanism, Seaside has shaped a global movement in thoughtful, human-scaled town planning. Davis has received top honors, including the Rome Prize and Florida’s Governor’s Award, and has served in leadership roles for the Congress for the New Urbanism and The Seaside Institute. His leadership and legacy continue to shape communities and inspire planners around the world.

A sweet tradition, right where it’s always been.🍦

In 1983, Bill and Heavenly Dawson bought a home in SEASIDE® and soon after opened Dawson’s Yogurt, one of the town’s very first businesses. Since 1988, Dawson’s Yogurt & Fudge has been serving sweet treats from the very same spot, making it the country’s longest-operating yogurt shop still in its original location.

Over the years, it’s become part of our ritual, an after-dinner stop, a post-beach treat, a cone in hand while strolling through town. Though the shop debuted a refreshed façade and updated interior last year, the tradition remains the same: satisfying SEASIDE®’s sweet tooth, one swirl at a time.

After 32 years, the Dawsons passed the torch of the five eateries they founded to the Beechers and the Fields, but their legacy still lives on in every visit. ❤️ #SeasideFL

For four decades, friends and families have climbed the stairs to toast the sunset, linger over dinner, and mark life’s milestones overlooking the best gulf view in town. A true pillar of our community, Bud & Alley’s has helped define the rhythm of SEASIDE®, one evening, one table, one unforgettable view at a time. #SeasideFL
