Seaside Welcomes Artists for May 28 Art Walk with Cultural Arts Alliance
Art has always had a home in Seaside, Florida. As we welcome the Cultural Arts Alliance for the upcoming SEASIDE® Art Walk on Wednesday, May 28 from 4 PM – 8 PM, we reflect on the creative roots that run deep through our community. Long before the 30A art scene became what it is today, it was taking shape right here, in Ruskin Place, on the sidewalks of Central Square, and in the hearts of a few passionate pioneers who believed Seaside could be a place that nurtured artists.
It all began over 20 years ago. In 2006, Eileen West, Wendy Mignot, and Tracy Lewis met with a shared vision: to bring art into the open and create something that felt like home for locals and visitors. What started as a simple idea: monthly gallery shows, music in the park, and a glass of wine among friends quickly became a cornerstone of the community. The First Friday Art Walk in Seaside wasn’t just a fun night out; it became the event of the month and inspired a movement across 30A.
In the years since Seaside’s creative legacy has continued to grow. From Via Colori, the colorful chalk art festival led by Billie Gaffrey, to the revitalization of Art Walk in 2017 by Wendy Mignot and Aaron Sutton, Seaside has quietly, yet confidently, shaped the artistic spirit of the coast.
And now, we’re stepping back into that role with intention. Join us Wednesday, May 28, from 4–8 PM for the Seaside Art Walk.
Wander through Central Square as several of our Merchants welcome back a curated lineup of talented artists from across the region. Expect original works, live demos, and the same creative energy that’s defined Seaside from the beginning.

Whether you’re a collector or simply strolling through with a glass of wine, we invite you to experience Seaside the way it is meant to be: colorful, community-driven, and full of heart. Because when it comes to the arts, Seaside isn’t just a stop on the map. It’s where the story began.
