Discover The REP’s entertaining fall season of live music and theater

The fall season ushers in a wave of excitement as both new and timeless events enrich the Seaside community with memorable performances. With an exhilarating lineup of programming, The REP’s fall season provides an unforgettable outlet of entertainment people of all ages can enjoy. Audiences can climb to new heights with the beloved children’s theater play, “Jack and the Beanstalk,” learn the art of storytelling in music or theater workshops, and catch one of the popular LIVE@TheREP concerts with GRAMMY-recognized and award-winning musicians.
After a summer season full of delightful, family-friendly entertainment, all eyes are on The REP Theatre as live music makes its highly anticipated return. Soulful songwriting and lyrical melodies fill the air as the LIVE@TheREP Concert Series makes its usual mark captivating audiences with world-renowned artists and emerging talents. From beloved REP favorites such as Charlie Mars and Jeff Black, to new artists like Mike Kinnebrew, Jesse Lynn Madera and Jill Sobule, the concert series promises an array of performances.
Classical harmonies will dazzle audiences, too. After an astounding welcome to Seaside with Escape To Create, Joshua “Sock Joplin” Thompson returns to The REP in a two-night concert event with Jared Thompson and vocalist PsyWrn. Together, they’ll explore the rich and intertwined histories of Black music from classical composers of African descent, spirituals, jazz, hip-hop, and neo-soul. The LIVE@TheREP Concert Series makes its powerful conclusion in November with a dynamic, piano-driven performance featuring critically-acclaimed neo-classical artist BLKBOK that is sure to blow audiences away. With so many outstanding musicians in an intimate and laid-back venue, The LIVE@TheREP Concert Series provides a memorable and unique experience.
For local musicians and aspiring artists, The REP’s Songwriter Workshop is a new weekly class hosted by Balder Saunders that focuses on the transformative art of songwriting. Balder will lead an impressive workshop that delves into essential skills like musicality, lyricism, and structure while fostering the ability to connect emotionally with an audience. Beginners and seasoned pros are all welcome as students learn to craft compelling melodies, write evocative lyrics, and build songs that resonate. Studying under the tutelage of one of the area’s greatest songwriters, there is no better way to discover new inspirations, refine your craft, and elevate your music to new heights.
“Fee-fi-fo-fum!” Experience the tale of a lifetime as the harrowing adventure of “Jack and the Beanstalk” continues at the Seaside Amphitheater this fall. After the show’s wild success during the summer season, heroic Jack embarks on another journey straight up into the clouds and into the hearts of all who witness the magic. With a larger-than-life beanstalk and surprises at every turn, The REP’s performances of “Jack and the Beanstalk” will magically transform your world.
