This summer, the storybook classic of “Rumpelstiltskin” springs to life on Monday evenings with The REP Theatre’s engaging children’s theater performances. Written and directed by REP Executive Director Brook Stetler, the tale of “Rumpelstiltskin” gets a comedic twist in this high energy adventure that will leave audiences of all ages captivated. From the unforgettable characters to the mesmerizing storytelling, “Rumpelstiltskin” proves to be an outlandish and heartwarming tale perfect for those unforgettable summer nights at the Seaside Amphitheater with the whole family.
Not only does The REP perform and share stories, but they also share the craft of storytelling and theater arts with local and visiting students. Children ages 5-12 can get in on the action and discover masterful storytelling with improv comedy at the popular Kids Improv Bootcamp. In these workshops, students learn all the basics of improv comedy and performance with teamwork exercises and interactive theater games. Improv Bootcamp is a unique activity for boosting creativity and provides a fun and engaging experience kids will love while on summer vacation!
Magical summer evenings take center stage as live music attracts audiences to The REP’s low-key and intimate venue. The LIVE@TheREP Concert Series regularly hosts popular local acts, award-winning artists, and pre-fame up-and-comers on tour, offering audiences and musical guests an exciting experience they cannot find anywhere else on 30A. Soulful songwriting and lyrical melodies will fill the air as the LIVE@TheREP Concert Series welcomes Alex Rogers on June 14 and Mike Kinnebrew on June 21 for two captivating concerts sure to wow audiences.
