Seaside’s Newest Pop-Up Offers Playful Fashion for Young Women
Heading to SEASIDE® to shop? Be sure to visit the playful new pop-up shop, Cake for Dinner, open weekends only through December 18.
Located in Four Corners, next to Cocina Cubana and Seaside Kids, Cake for Dinner is a clothing line designed for young women aged 12-17 and influenced by the seasonless styles of the South.
“Location is everything, and we wanted our first retail space to reflect the vibrant, playful aesthetic of our collection – Seaside truly is the perfect fit,” said Cake for Dinner founder Chambless Kalka.
Kalka is an Atlanta mom of three and entrepreneur on a mission to empower young women to be fearless and fashionable. When her young teenage daughter started at a non-uniform middle school, she quickly realized there was a huge market demand for girls caught between youthful sizes that fit them, and the women’s trends they wanted to chase.
Kalka enlisted Designer Mallory Atkins, a graduate of Savannah College of Art & Design, who has worked with major labels in New York and Atlanta, to bring her dream line to life. “Cake for Dinner’s styles use a lot of bright colors and on-trend and flattering smocked details,” said Atkins. “Our dresses and two-piece sets are ideal beach day outfits – easy to throw on while still looking cute and intentional.”
The pop-up shop is a perfect complement to the diverse group of Merchants that call Seaside’s Commercial District home. From babies and teens to adult fashions and even dogs – there is something for everyone to shop for when visiting Seaside.
The Cake for Dinner pop-up shop will be open every Friday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through December 18.
