Big things often have small beginnings. Amavida Coffee has grown from a small, local coffee roaster supplying other area businesses, to a regional roaster, retailer, and distributer of Organic, fairly-traded specialty coffee and tea products. Although it is still a small company, big things are happening. Amavida is now growing into a household brand nationally. The company announced that it was recognized as Roast Magazine’s 2018 Micro Roaster of the Year.
Roast Magazine is a national, specialty coffee publication that not only assesses Roaster of the Year applicants based on the taste of their coffee, but also on their business practices. This annual award recognizes Amavida Coffee for sustainability, quality of coffee and commitment to their community, employees and industry.
“For us, coffee is not just something we drink, a product we roast, or a project we support. Coffee is a vital influence in the lives of the people and cultures we represent and serve,” explains team member Jennifer Pawlik. “This award represents everyone involved in Amavida Coffee; all our team members, our growers, and our communities.” Visit the website amavida.com to learn more.
